PANAMA CITY, PANAMA

Eleven individuals, associations and firms from Canada’s construction industry were recognized at the Canadian Construction Association’s recent annual awards ceremony in Panama City, Panama.

“Once again this year, the national awards program has showcased the incredible contributions from firms, associations and people across the country,” said Frank Rizzardo, 2013 CCA chair.

“The Canadian construction industry consistently demonstrates its ability to achieve excellence, whether through innovation, community stewardship or environmental achievement. As an association, we are proud to recognize these accomplishments each year through the CCA National Awards.”

The awards ceremony, sponsored by Jardine Lloyd Thompson, was held in conjunction with the CCA annual conference. The keynote speaker prior to the ceremony was Yvonne Camus, an Eco-Challenge participant in 2000, whose team was the first rookie team in history to complete the competition. Camus spoke vividly about her conviction that extraordinary achievements can come from teamwork, commitment, and an enthusiasm for life.
