CCA recognizes industry's finest in Panama

PANAMA CITY, PANAMA

Eleven individuals, associations and firms from Canada's construction industry were recognized at the Canadian Construction Association's recent annual awards ceremony in Panama City, Panama.

“Once again this year, the national awards program has showcased the incredible contributions from firms, associations and people across the country,” said Frank Rizzardo, 2013 CCA chair.

The 2013 CCA National Award recipients were honoured during the CCA’s 96th annual conference.

The General Contractor Award of Recognition went to Anibal Valente with PCL Westcoast Constructors Inc.

The Trade Contractor Award of Recognition was presented to Les LaRocque with Botting and Associates.

Wayne Morsky of Morsky Management Group. won the Civil Infrastructure Award of Recognition.

The Manufacturers, Suppliers and Services Award of Recognition went to Zey Emir of Revay and Associates.

Awards of Excellence were also presented at the ceremony. The Gold Seal Association Award was given to Grand Valley Construction Association.

The Community Leader Award was presented to Paul Douglas with PCL.

The Construction Association of Nova Scotia won the Partner Association Award.

The International Business Award went to Aecon and the Environmental Achievement Award went to Maple Reinders.

Excellence in Innovation Award winner is Hoban Equipment.

William (Bill) Gyles with Kinetic Construction took home the Person of the Year Award.
