The 2014 Prairie Design Awards were held at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights in Winnipeg, Manitoba as part of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada's Festival of Architecture.

The 2014 Prairie Design Awards were held at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights in Winnipeg, Manitoba as part of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada's Festival of Architecture.

Annette Gargol of the Manitoba Association of Architects spoke to the Journal of Commerce about the various awards and the projects from across western Canada that were honoured at the gala.

Dathe Wong and Tammi Denby from Stantec gave their insights about the design of Graduate House, a residential building on the University of Saskatchewan campus that earned an award of merit in the “recent work” category.

Winnipeg architect Peter Sampson also explained how he designed the Assiniboine Park Washrooms, which won an award of excellence in the “small projects” category.
