BUY-OUT
Regina-based Ipsco Inc. has finalized the purchase of N.S. Group Inc., a Kentucky steel pipe company for $1.5 billion (US). This comes at a time when there is major concern over the loss of Canadian head offices. David Sutherland, CEO of Ipsco sees a need for some Canadian industries to be sheltered from unrestricted foreign ownership.
