RICHARD GILBERT

Workers check out the rebar of a concrete support column for the Pitt River Bridge that toppled over in the early morning hours of April 14. A crane operator sliced through a cable holding up the support pylon at about 6:30 a.m. during a concrete pour. No one was hurt in the incident and work on the bridge was expected to continue later in the day.
