A crane is lowered from the Living Shangri-La building, which tops out at 61 storeys.

Crane lands at Ledcor’s Shangri-La site

After three years on site, the construction crane at the $250-million Living Shangri-La hotel/condo/retail project is ready to move on.

Construction manager Ledcor Construction Limited expects to have the hotel ready to open in January 2009.

The $250-million hotel/condo/retail building, which will rank as Vancouver’s tallest when completed, was co-developed by Peterson Investment Group Inc., Westbank Projects Corp. and Ledcor.
