Oak Ridges, ON

Shore Tilbe Irwin & Partners begin designs for Oak Ridges Community Centre

Shore Tilbe Irwin & Partners of Toronto has begun schematic designs for the new $25-million Oak Ridges Community Centre.

To be located on Bayview Avenue in Oak Ridges, on a site that overlooks Lake Wilcox, the 56,000-square-foot, LEED Silver-compliant building will sport a swimming pool, fitness centre and an environmental education centre.

Project manager GENIVAR Construction Ltd. expects design development to begin fall 2008, but the company has not announced a construction schedule at this time.

Once completed, the Town of Richmond Hill lake-front attraction will feature over 700 linear meters of shoreline.
