Work at Vancouver’s Vita at Symphony Place continues

Vita at Symphony Place is taking shape in Vancouver.

The tower will include 29 stories above grade and five below. It will have 118 condominium units and retail space on the ground floor.

Vita is one of two towers in the development, with the other being Dolce.

Solterra Development Corp. is the owner and general contractor.

Merrick Architecture BLSF Ltd. is the architect.

Consultants working on the project include: Glotman Simpson Consulting Engineering (structural), SRC Engineering Ltd. (mechanical), Nemetz (S/A) & Associates Ltd. (electrical) and GeoPacific Consultants Ltd. (geotechnical).

Construction started in May 2007 and is expected to be complete by early 2009.
