Viljoen Architects readies working drawings for Stonebridge by the Bay
Viljoen Architects Inc. is nearing completion of the working drawings for 225 townhouse units at the Stonebridge at the Bay project in Wasaga Beach. The firm expects to begin the preliminary designs for a 141,250-square-foot condominium apartment on the same site early in 2009.
Located at Stonebridge Boulevard and River Road East, the development will include 45 blocks of townhouses and a six-storey, 250-unit condominium apartment building.
Hamount Investments Ltd. is looking for sub trade pricing for the townhouses. They hope to begin construction on the townhouses in fall 2008.
The townhouses will cover 127,125-square-feet of the 40-acre property. A structural engineer will be selected for the townhouses early fall of 2008. Mechanical and electrical engineering designs will be complete by the mechanical and electrical trades, once they are secured.
The townhouses will be wood-framed with a gas-fired heating system.
The condominium is expected to have a steel-frame structure and a gas-fired heating system.
