Podmore resigns from PavCo

B.C. Pavilion Corporation (PavCo) chairman of the board David Podmore has resigned from his position after five years in the role.

He was originally brought in to troubleshoot after the Vancouver Convention Centre project went over budget, and will leave his role at the end of September 2012.

The move is part of a larger shift as PavCo transitions from construction to marketing and business development initiatives for the Vancouver Convention Centre and B.C. Place.

Pat Bell, minister of jobs, tourism and innovation also appointed five new members to the board.

The new board members are Suzanne Anton, Michael Ballingall, Alan Lowe, Stuart McLaughlin and Don Zurowski. The reappointed members are Theresa Breining, Bob Bryant, John Horning, Miriam Kresivo, and Terrance Lyons.
