Wildfire centre in Valemount, B.C.

Construction has also started on a $1.2 million fire fighting centre in Valemount, B.C.

The two-storey structure will replace the Wildfire Management Branch’s existing trailer.

The 350-square-metre project is being built by Mierau Contractors Ltd. and is expected to be complete by the start of the 2013 fire season.
