ATCO Electric's Service Centre in Stettler, Alta. should be complete by January 2013.

Work on the industrial facility, where 90 office and technical staff will be stationed, started in September 2011, according to project manager David Kufflick of Calgary-based Lawson Projects.

The prime consultant is AECOM, Edmonton-headquartered Clark Builders are the prime contractors, while Edmonton’s Bennett Architect Inc. handled the design.

In addition to housing staff, the operation centre is being built to function in the event of power outages or other emergencies.
