VIDEO: Journal of Commerce Update for the week of February 25th, 2013

In this week's update, we look at some of the stories we'll be covering in the Journal of Commerce for the week of February 25th, 2013.

The recently announced B.C. provincial budget is cutting down on capital spending. Reaction to the budget has been generally positive in the construction industry. British Columbia Construction Association president Manley McLachlan said while infrastructure spending has declined, a “winding down” period was inevitable after a decade of growth.

Staff writer Richard Gilbert looks into how construction is expected to lead growth in B.C. over the next five years, and columnist Korky Koroluk examines the potential of crowdfunding projects.

Peter Caulfield has a story about a historic Vancouver warehouse which is being renovated and expanded through innovative use of concrete.

There’s more about that structure in our weekly feature video, and don’t miss our Concrete feature pullout tin the January 25th paper and digital edition of the Journal of Commerce.
