New CEO steps down

The Canadian Home Builders Association of B.C. has accepted the resignation of Brian Bonney as its chief executive officer effective immediately.

He only started the job in February.

Bonney tendered his resignation in light of the Dyble Report, which found serious breaches of the government’s code of conduct as part of the B.C. Liberal Party’s ethnic outreach plan.

The report found Bonney spent much of his time, as a former provincial government communications staffer, crafting the plan.

The Liberals have since paid back $70,000 in misspent public funds.
