Acquisition targets LNG

Entrec Corporation has acquired Grand Prairie, Alberta-based GT's Crane and Transportation Services Inc. and all of its operating subsidiaries.

Entrec’s president and COO John M. Stevens said the deal positions the company to capture a significant portion of planned future investments in liquefied natural gas driven infrastructure in northeastern B.C. and Alberta.

GT’s has operations in Grande Prairie, Whitecourt and Leduc, Alberta as well as Dawson Creek and Fort Nelson, B.C. It owns a modern fleet with a current average age of less than four years and a value of about $37 million.

The company has 180 employees and operates a fleet of 45 cranes, including all-terrain, rough-terrain and picker trucks, 130 multi-wheeled trailers and 50 tractors.
