VIDEO: Stephen Kushner of Merit Contractors Association
Recently the Journal of Commerce traveled to Edmonton and met with Stephen Kushner, the president of Merit Contractors Association.
Kushner addressed the current labour situation in Alberta, which he said has been fairly stable despite fluctuating demand for skilled workers for the oilsands and other large projects.
Kushner also addressed what Merit is doing to address increased demand, as well as speaking to the efforts made by member companies and the industry at large to respond to the recent floods in the Calgary area.
The Independent Contractors and Businesses Association recently held its annual general meeting, and ICBA president Philip Hochstein was on hand to speak to the Journal of Commerce about the past year and his hopes for the industry in the year to come.
