VIDEO: The Sea Change 2013 architectural conference in Vancouver
The Vancouver Convention Centre in Vancouver, Canada was the site for Sea Change 2013, an international architectural conference which brought together the Architectural Institute of British Columbia and the American Institute of Architects – Pacific Northwest Council.
Both Stan Bowman, the executive director of the American Institute of Architects – Pacific Northwest Council, and Michael Ernest, the executive director of the Architectural Institute of British Columbia, spoke to the Journal of Commerce about the collaboration between the two organizations and the benefits of cross-border business in the architectural space.
The pair also examined the unique culture of the Pacific Northwest, which on both sides of the border has resulted in similar attitudes towards design and workflows.
Jeff Lyth of the British Columbia Construction Safety Alliance was the final speaker at Bridging the Gap 2013, held recently in Richmond, British Columbia.
