Note: Request for proposals (RFP) from mechanical and electrical (23660800) engineering professional consulting firms closed at 15:00, Quebec time, September 11, 2012 at the owner and has been awarded. Consultants are responsible for preliminary plans and working drawings preparation and construction work supervision. Preliminary planning is underway. Schedules for working drawings, tender for the general contractor and construction have yet to be finalized. Further update late 2012.
Project:construction of a new environmentally friendly river terminal. The building will house a waiting room for approximately 350 passengers, food service areas and service rooms. The project also includes construction of a parking lot and landscaping works. The project will aim for certification under the Leadership in energy and environmental design (LEED) green building rating system.
