| Project: | construction of a new 10,500 sq ft storage facility and renovations to existing museum building. New construction: collection storage 6,900 sq ft; loading bay 600 sq ft; photo work room 150 sq ft; supply room 200 sq ft; washroom 100 sq ft; isolation room 600 sq ft; workroom 800 sq ft and records management, work station 300 sq ft. Installation of shelving, heating and cooling, wiring and lighting, plumbing, flooring in a specialized museum environment are all part of the project. Lower level renovations: Approx 3,000 sq ft will be renovated on the lower level of the museum's existing facility. The lower level renovations will specifically address the archives, collections storage, washrooms, custodial services, and the shipping/receiving bay. Demolition of archival space and installation of custom millwork, shelving, heating and cooling, wiring and lighting, plumbing, flooring in a specialized museum environment are all part of the project. |
