A tentative budget of $750 million was announced, over several years. The consultant is currently performing a Functional Programming Study and Master Site Plan for Clinical, Non-Clinical and Support Services for Royal Columbian Hospital. |
| Project: | expansion & redevelopment of the existing hospital to include hundreds of additional beds, a larger emergency dept, a new surgical suite, consolidation of critical care beds, renovations & upgrades to improve wait times & quality of services, improved systems & possible seismic upgrades as well. Possible options include: construction of a new acute care tower & emergency dept, addition of several new inpatient beds, expansion of surgical suites/interventional suites, renovations to clinical areas, addition of new support spaces & renovations to existing areas. |
